Dear MRISA athletes, coaches and fans ISE is proud to host the 2011 Senior Football Tournament. 

The Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA) was formed thirteen years ago to foster contact between eight international schools in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.  Over the last decade the schools and the organization have grown in size and in the depth and breadth of the sport and cultural programs.  The weekend tournaments are designed to have students meet other students from “sister” schools in friendly competition.  It will be a very busy, but enjoyable, weekend for all concerned.

The games will be competitive to be sure, but we also look for good sportsmanship and good will among the visiting athletes and coaches.

I want to thank all the faculty, parents and staff at ISE who worked so hard to prepare for this event under the leadership of Mr. Jeremy Lees, our Athletic Director.  As you all know it takes a great deal of effort to host more than 130 visiting athletes.  Our families look forward to having you in their homes.  I want to particularly thank for all the work he put in to make this weekend possible.  Of course, he had a great deal of help from all of the ISE community. 

To the athletes I want to remind them that they are guests this weekend.  Please be sure to represent your school and your team well.  More importantly, give your best effort at all times and be responsible MRISA athletes.

We look forward to a safe and productive weekend.  If you have any questions or are uncertain about the time or place of the various events please be sure to ask any of the ISE staff or student helpers. We are here to support you.
